Pastoral Planning

PARISH PASTORAL PLANNING COMMITTEE

In response to the Diocesan Guidelines for all parishes of the Diocese of Brooklyn, this commission seeks, through consultation with the parishioners, to discern and respond to the pastoral objectives that enjoy priority in our pastoral life.

Drawing upon the inspiration, reflections, and prayers expressed by the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish throughout our ongoing Pastoral Planning process, the Parish Pastoral Planning Council has composed a Mission Statement and Parish Goals, so that, together, we may build a more vibrant Catholic life.

ITALIAN COMMITTEE FOR PASTORAL PLANNING

This group seeks to respond to the pastoral needs of the Italian Community, and to bring its concerns, suggestions and recommendations to the Parish Pastoral Planning Committee. During the year, the Italian Committee organizes various social and cultural events for the Italian community, as well as for the entire parish community. The Italian Committee works closely with the St. Pio Prayer Group to sponsor the annual Parish Carnival in honor of St. Pio, held each September.

HISPANIC COMMITTEE FOR PASTORAL PLANNING

This committee seeks to respond to the pastoral needs of the Hispanic Community, and to bring its concerns, suggestions and recommendations to the Parish Pastoral Planning Committee.
