Help The Frassati Fellowship With Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding

Hurricane Relief Volunteer Teams

It has almost a month since Hurricane Sandy hit, but the relief efforts are needed now as much as ever!  Many areas are still without power or heat (or even running water), and many homes still full of sand, water and debris.  As the weather gets colder and attention to the devastation wanes, it is increasingly important that we step up our efforts to help those who are suffering.  Your help is needed!

Each weekend since the Hurricane hit, Frassati Fellowship has been sending teams to the affected areas.  We hope to continue this through December.  Our teams bring hot beverages and food, conversation and comfort, supplies and practical help with cleanup and demolition.  Please consider joining us in the next few weeks!

Both sessions will be held in the Convent Gathering Space, accessible through the entrance on 43rd Street, or from the School Parking Lot on the same street. Bottle Drive Continues!

During the Carnival (Sept. 26-30), one of our biggest money makers is a bottle raffle. In the raffle, you pay $2 and win some random bottle- could be anything!  In order for it to be successful, we need donations of anything in an unopened bottle…liquor, wine, shampoo, lotion, ketchup…anything!  These bottles do not need to be expensive items.  As a parish, we are looking to collect 1,000 bottles (right now we have about 350).  Just think, if we each brought 2 bottles (can be as cheap as $1 each or less!), we’d have QUITE the donation!!!  All bottles can be dropped off in the Parish Rectory.
